Green Guide: Kelly Gang, 2003
Dave Hughes, Judith Lucy, Pia Miranda, Angus Sampson and Jon Faine have lent their voices to an animated film directed by recent VCA graduate Tim Bain and written and produced by Jim Kane.

Hughes takes the title role in Kidd Kelly, a hyperactive cartoon boy with a tin head who borrows his hero/villain dichotomy from another Kelly known for his metallic head gear.  Think "Ginger Meggs on Ritalin, a narky, twisted prankster", says Bain.

In a coup for the team, the nine-minute film, which they completed last week, has been bought by the producers of Channel Seven's Murray Whelan telemovie Stiff, to play on a television being watched by Whelan's son, Red.

Bain, whose graduating film for VCA starred Sigrid Thornton and Eric Bana, is now pitching a longer series.
